UrgoTül is a flexible and conformable gauze dressing with Lipidocolloid Technology (TLC). Being non-occlusive, it does not adhere to the wound or its edges, which allows for atraumatic dressing changes. Thanks to its high conformability, it is particularly suitable for irregular wounds, hard-to-reach areas, and packing deep wounds.

Mechanism of action: Upon contact with wound exudate, the hydrocolloid particles gel and form, along with the petroleum jelly, a lipidocolloid layer that maintains a moist environment.

Application: Clean the wound according to the standard protocol. If an antiseptic is used, rinse thoroughly with saline solution. Remove the protective film and apply directly to the wound. Cover with a secondary dressing appropriate for the volume of exudate and secure with an elastic bandage or tubular bandage. The compress can be cut to the desired dimensions using a sterile instrument. Dressing change frequency depends on the type of wound, generally every 2 days. When used with a compression system, the duration can be extended up to 7 days.
