This dietary supplement contains a combination of lutein, zeaxanthin, and riboflavin (vitamin B2). The carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin cannot be synthesized by the body. They are present in the macula (yellow spot) of the retina, where they filter short-wavelength light. With age, the concentration of lutein in the macula may decrease.

Lutein is a natural pigment found notably in yellow and green vegetables; it is particularly concentrated in the macula. Zeaxanthin is another carotenoid present in the eye.

Each capsule provides 20 mg of lutein, 4.20 mg of zeaxanthin, and 1.00 mg of riboflavin (vitamin B2).
