Hydrophilic foam dressing coated with a hydrogel film. The slight adhesive effect facilitates positioning by pre-securing it to the skin. More durable fixation requires the use of suitable products, such as hypoallergenic tape or bandages.
The side in contact with the wound is coated with a hydrogel film, while the upper side is a polyurethane film that is permeable to water vapor but impermeable to liquids and germs. The absorbent foam quickly draws in excess wound exudate without drying out the wound. The dressing is soft and flexible, provides good cushioning, and can be removed without pain. Also available with an adhesive border.
