Fiber dressing for moderately to highly exuding wounds

BIATAIN Fiber 10x12 cm is a sterile, soft primary dressing designed for the treatment of moderately to highly exuding wounds, including cavity wounds. It is suitable for acute and chronic wounds such as diabetic foot syndrome, leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, traumatic wounds, second-degree burns, skin graft donor sites, and postoperative wounds. Its composition allows for secure absorption of exudate.

Areas of application and properties

The dressing is designed for moderately to highly exuding wounds and promotes controlled absorption of exudate. It can be used for leg ulcers of arterial, venous, or mixed origin, as well as grade II to IV pressure ulcers. It is also suitable for oncological wounds requiring exudate absorption, second-degree burns, and traumatic injuries.

Application

BIATAIN Fiber is applied directly to the wound as a primary dressing. The 10x12 cm size allows it to be adapted to the wound surface; it can be cut or inserted into cavities. An appropriate secondary dressing is required for fixation and protection. Change intervals depend on the condition of the wound and the amount of exudate, according to the healthcare team's instructions.

Composition

The dressing consists of a sterile, soft non-woven fabric made of sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) fibers, combined with bicomponent fibers and a composite fiber net for increased stability.
