Title: Convatec Aquacel AG Sterile Dressing 5x5cm 10 units
Description: Dressing used in moist wound healing techniques based on hydrocolloids and small silver particles.
In the form of a non-woven compress made of hydrocolloid fibers (= Hydrofiber) based on carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and impregnated with silver (1.2%).
CMC fibers provide a bacteriostatic effect, while Ag ions give it optimal bactericidal action. This is why it is recommended to combine it with AQUACEL dressings as a cover, especially if additional sequestration, greater absorption, and above all, protection of the wound edges are needed thanks to vertical absorption.
The Wick model contains a regenerated cellulose matrix, which improves the strength of the wick and its retention in the wound bed.
Usage: Treatment of infected wounds or those at risk of infection: burns, ulcers, surgical or traumatic wounds.
Indications: Hydrofiber dressings.
