Actis Zinc can be given as a supplement to etiological or symptomatic treatments in dogs and cats presenting with:

• localized or generalized seborrheic dermatoses.
• keratinization disorders (hyperkeratosis, lichenification).
• coat alterations (dull, dry, brittle, alopecic hair).
• dermatoses responsive to zinc administration in dogs.

Zinc is a trace element involved in the general metabolism of the individual and necessary for cell multiplication and protein synthesis. It plays an important role in skin texture and coat quality.

Vitamin B6 has anti-seborrheic activity; it is essential for fatty acid metabolism and skin protection.

Vitamin A is a regulator of cellular metabolism and is particularly involved in the formation and maintenance of epithelial cells. It also regulates the development of sebaceous glands. Vitamin A absorption depends on the proper assimilation of zinc by the body, which in turn depends on a sufficient amount of vitamin B6 in the diet.
