Bausch & Lomb Cicathenol Soothes and Accelerates Eye and Eyelid Healing 17ml is a lipid microemulsion for the treatment and prevention of the signs and symptoms of moderate to severe dryness of the ocular and periocular area.

It aids in the healing and protection of damaged eyelids (e.g., itching, irritation, dryness...).

Cicathénol reduces inflammation and redness of the conjunctiva and eyelids.

It should be applied to closed eyelids.

It is suitable for adults and children, as well as contact lens wearers.

This preservative-free, alcohol-free spray contains three specific active ingredients:

• Dexpanthenol (provitamin B5) is a skin and ocular moisturizer that accelerates tissue healing and improves the barrier effect.
  Impairment of the skin barrier function is a major factor in atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, dry skin, and sensitive skin.
  Topically applied dexpanthenol has been shown to regenerate the epidermal barrier and thus improve skin hydration.
• Sacha inchi seed oil contributes to the healing process by helping to repair inflammatory damage.
  It contains a ratio of natural unsaturated omega 6/omega 3 fatty acids comparable to the optimal state.
  It is also antioxidant and cytoprotective.
• Trehalose and the natural antioxidants in sacha inchi seed oil protect the eye surface and skin against cellular damage and accelerate their healing.
  The eyes and periocular area are soothed.
